What is Phil’s ride?
This benefit run is to help a fellow veteran or immediate family member that is currently undergoing cancer treatment, in memory of Phil Hendrickson (SSgt. USAF) the brother of Terry “ Bull “ Henderson.
Phil was admitted to the hospital in March 2021 with internal bleeding. After receiving multiple blood transfusions, he had a tumor removed from his bladder, which was found to be cancerous, which spread to his prostate. Sadly, Phil lost his battle with cancer and our run in 2021 became a memorial run. 100% of the proceeds were given to Phil’s family to help cover funeral and medical expenses. Our chapter has elected to host a benefit motorcycle run each year, in honor of Phil, to raise money and help with the medical costs or any additional costs that would not be covered with insurance (such as hotel, food or gas). The event costs are covered by fundraiser activities and generous donations from the community partners.

We here at the Combat Veteran’s Motorcycle Association are dedicated to our motto:
“ Vets Helping Vets ”
Thank you to our valued Black sponsors!!
What your Sponsorship is used for:
We hold an annual ride to financially assist an Active Duty (AD) or Veteran member (or Spouse, Child, Sibling, or Parent of AD/Vet) currently undergoing cancer treatments. This is to help with the burden of everyday costs not covered by insurance such as gas, hotel, food expenses, etc.
Our ride is held the last Saturday in September. The ride varies from a poker run, a scavenger hunt, or just a ride through the mountains. Upon the end of the ride, at a pre-determined location, we have a time for the “last bike in” and we start our fun. Food, drinks, and raffles, plus a live auction rounds us out. We pride ourselves that 100% of the proceeds raised go directly to our recipient. Because of Sponsorship, we can give all the monies raised to our individual. Your sponsorship will be used to purchase Auction or Raffle items; purchase merchandise (Patches/Rockers/T-shirts, etc.) that could be sold to increase the amount raised for the nominee. Your sponsorship can also be considered a straight cash donation and given directly to the nominee.
We are happy to welcome any motorcycle rider to join us for the ride, as well as anyone who would like to drive! Our ride information is shared via social media (Facebook and Instagram) within the riding community groups and posted (flyers) in local businesses. Any information can be obtained by sending an email to contact473@gmail.com as well.
